Dallas is a laid-back, family-friendly neighbourhood located along the South Thompson River, about 15 minutes east of downtown Kamloops. Dallas has a mix of properties, from larger lots and acreages to more typical suburban homes, so it’s a nice area if you’re looking for some room to stretch out. It’s also popular for people with RVs, boats, or other outdoor toys—lots of homes have big yards and extra parking space. One of the best things about Dallas is its riverside location. You get beautiful views of the South Thompson River, and there are some great spots for fishing, kayaking, or just hanging out by the water. There are also plenty of parks and green spaces around, like Dallas-Barnhartvale Nature Park, which has trails for walking and biking. The area is really popular with people who enjoy outdoor activities and being close to nature.

Dallas is located approximately 15 minutes east of the Kamloops downtown core on the south side of the Thompson river. The community sits below Barnhartvale and east of Campbell Creek. Most of Dallas is single family homes on large flat lots. There is a newer condo building that is constructed in the Town Centre which the local residents mainly shop at for groceries and fuel.
